This was a three-part presentation of which I only got to hear the first (due to a scheduling conflict). Paul Tremblett is an OS/2 bigot from Nynex, and he came to dissect -- almost line by line -- a couple of demo programs written for APPC and OS/2.
He had two PS/2s in the front of the room connected via token-ring, and each was wired to a video projector so we could see both consoles. When I walked into the room I asked "Stereo?", and Paul replied "Dueling Barcos".
The first session was an overview of APPC processing, with a tiny peek at his demo code. The overview was useful to me, because when I came home I worked for a while on the design of a WAN printing subsystem that would have made use of APPC.
