Session O354 - MVSE: Effective Use of the PDS Command Processor

SHARE 72
February 26 - March 3, 1989

Shmuel (Sam) Golob is a contributor to the CBT MVS mods tape (where we got QUEUE, SPY, SCHEDULE, TSSO and other programs), and is the author of a number of recent articles in Technical Support magazine that detail the CBT tape. I got to talking to him at SCIDS one night and he twisted my arm until I agreed to come to his session here.

He talked about the insanely great PDS command from the CBT tape, which "does everything but dry-clean your PDS" (release 8.3 is in beta test, and they say that it actually will dry-clean your PDS). Not much that he talked about was very new to me - I use PDS a lot - but I got to ask questions of the authors. Both Bruce Leland and Steve Smith were there (Bruce did the original code, while Steve did the ISPF interface).
