Session M808 - Managermanship: Developing Panache

SHARE 72
February 26 - March 3, 1989

I didn't really feel the need to develop any panache, but Robert Rannie was doing this particular session so I made the accommodation. Rannie is a real character, and fun to listen to. He is a professor of computer science at Northern Illinois University and a 32-bit gunslinger from way, way back.

(His formula for being a successful teacher: you have to know your subject COLD, and you have to be enthusiastic. He is a successful teacher.)

Through the muck of his presentation - stories about his experiences leading the local boy scout organization, his life in the military, lessons learned in school - he pressed his point. You manage THINGS, but lead PEOPLE.
