This was a session for all SHARE attendees where a little business was conducted and an IBMer gave a keynote speech. It was revealed that 4,670 were registered for SHARE 69, which I gathered was some kind of record. It is also an election year for SHARE and a local boy - John Bevis from the University of Florida - was elected to a Director's post. A member of the nominating committee made the tactless comment about it being Chicago's first fair election in years.
The keynoter spoke about different personality types and the importance of birth order; first-born children tend to be achievers, and their parents expect more of them. They conform closely to the Rules. Last-born children are creative, but lead unstructured lives. Middle-born children strike a balance.
I'm not sure why 4,670 32-bit gunslingers were invited to listen to a lecture on birth order, but it was marginally interesting. There might even be something to it.
